In the article do we have the courage to stop this? By:
Nicholas D.Kristof this article is about how why we can’t regulate guns as
serious as we cars also how guns are too easy to buy and should not be able to.
In the article it was a lot of facts and quotes from experts one of a important
quote to me was “I grew up on an Oregon farm where guns were part of life and
my dad gave me a 22 rifle for my 12th birthday” another important
fact is more people die in gun homicides and suicides in six months that have
died in the last 25 years. Another important fact in the article is we’re not
going to eliminate gun deaths, any more than we have eliminated auto accidents
and we could reduce gun deaths by one-third that 10,000 lives would be saved. I
think that it is too easy to get a gun and you should go through a long process
and you need to be declared a sane and stable person if you want to get a gun
because crazy people should just not be able to get one it is harmful. This article
reminds me of the massacre that happened in Colorado where a man came in a
movie theatre and shot people this was a tragedy because innocent people got
hurt. This article makes me think how dangerous people get when there upset and
when they have a gun everything can worsen. This article makes me wonder if
guns will ever be regulated like cars are.
